Memoa

An AI journal for understanding yourself.

The story behind it

We believe understanding yourself is a quiet practice — and AI should be the friend who reflects, not the analyst who diagnoses.

Why we built it

01Problem

Journals ask for effort; life doesn't offer time. People start journaling with hope and stop because blank pages feel like homework. And even when they write, the patterns hiding in their own words stay invisible.

02The Idea

03The Creation

We built Memoa around one daily question, not a blank page. Your words stay yours; the AI reads only to reflect — surfacing themes, moods and changes over time, like a friend who remembers what you said in March. It shrinks journaling to two lines and grows it into self-understanding.

This creation began as #014 in our idea archive.

The creation journey
  1. Observation

Journals felt like homework, not refuge.

Blank pages ask too much of a tired day.

  2. Idea

What if your journal answered back?

A diary that listens and reflects patterns back.

  3. Creation

Two lines a day, quiet reflection.

The AI surfaces threads you were too close to see.

  4. Release

    Shipped on the App Store.

    Memoa is live for iOS.

What it does

01

One question a day

A gentle prompt that fits in two lines — small enough to actually fill.

02

Gentle reflection

Patterns in your own words, surfaced kindly over weeks — not analyzed on day one.

03

Your words stay yours

Private by design; reflection happens without exposing your journal.

Quick answers
Is it free?

Memoa is freemium — daily journaling is free, and reflection insights unlock with a subscription.

Who is this for?

Anyone who wants a journaling habit that sticks — and is curious to see the quiet patterns in their own days.

How is it different?

Most AI journals summarize your entry like a report. Memoa reflects: it remembers across weeks and gently shows you the threads, like a thoughtful friend.

MondPlan

A biodynamic moon phase calendar for gardening, sleep and mood.

Problem

Most calendars are built around deadlines, not rhythms. The people who garden biodynamically, or simply feel the pull of lunar cycles, are left tracking moon phases in a separate app or a printed chart.

Idea

MondPlan

Creation

We built MondPlan as a moon phase calendar for iOS: a clean monthly view with biodynamic guidance woven in — when to plant, when to rest, when to cut hair. It is a calendar that follows the sky, gently.

Tuning

An HRV stress monitor that turns Apple Health into a readiness score.

Problem

Apple Health quietly records HRV data that most people never see. The apps that do surface it either drown you in clinical charts or demand daily manual logging — so the most useful signal in your phone stays unread.

Idea

Tuning

Creation

We built Tuning to read Apple Health's SDNN data and turn it into a clear personal readiness score. No manual logging — it reads what's already there, explains what it means, and helps you plan recovery around your real stress.

Luna Sync

Understand your menstrual cycle through lunar phases.

Problem

Cycle apps treat the body like a calendar of symptoms to log and predict. For many, the daily logging becomes the chore — and the sense of a longer rhythm, of being part of something cyclical, is lost entirely.

Idea

Luna Sync

Creation

We built Luna Sync as a quiet iOS companion that maps your menstrual cycle against lunar phases. It keeps the practical tracking, then adds the perspective: where your rhythm sits in the moon's, and what that longer view feels like.
