Compress JPG and PNG images online — processed locally.

The story behind it

We believe your images are yours. A tool that touches them should do the work on your device — not send your photos to a stranger's server.

Why we built it

01Problem

Every "free" image compressor uploads your files somewhere, shows ads, or caps you after two images. Photographers and web builders end up choosing between privacy and a usable tool.

02The Idea

03The Creation

We built a browser-based compressor that processes JPG and PNG entirely on your device. Drop a file, pick a quality, download the result — nothing is uploaded, no account exists, and the compression happens in the time it takes to blink.

This creation began as #004 in our idea archive.

The creation journey
  1. Observation

Free compressors upload your images somewhere.

    Ads, limits and privacy trade-offs.

  2. Idea

Why compress on a server at all?

The browser can do it locally.

  3. Creation

A compressor that never touches the network.

Drop, compress, download — all on-device.

  4. Release

    Shipped to the web.

    Live at image.100ideas.net.

What it does

01

Local processing

Images never leave your device — compression happens in the browser.

02

JPG & PNG

Compress both formats with quality control.

03

No account, no ads

Just a drop zone, a slider and a download button.

Quick answers
Is it free?

Yes — completely free, with no limits and no ads.

Who is this for?

Web builders, photographers and anyone who needs smaller images without handing them to a third-party server.

How is it different?

Most compressors upload your files to a server. Image processes everything locally — your pictures never leave your device.

CalcAtlas

Free, instant, privacy-first calculators — Schengen, FIRE and TDEE.

Problem

The calculations people actually live by — how many Schengen days are left, how close FIRE is, how many calories a body burns — live in cluttered sites full of ads and sign-up walls. The answer is buried under the noise.

Idea

CalcAtlas

Creation

We built CalcAtlas as a small atlas of calculators — Schengen 90/180 tracking, FIRE planning and TDEE — all running locally in the browser, with instant results and zero uploads. Each one is one screen, one answer, done.

PDF

A simple way to work with documents.

Problem

Every PDF tool asks you to learn its panels, sign up for its account, and wade through its ads before you can do the one thing you opened it for. People spend more time fighting the tool than finishing the document.

Idea

PDF

Creation

We built a single quiet browser workspace where merge, split, compress and convert sit one glance away. Everything runs in place, files stay local, and the interface recedes so the document becomes the interface. The whole product fits on one screen because the job usually does.

AI Model

Explore AI models through a simple interface.

Problem

The frontier of AI lives behind API keys, dashboards and rate limits. Curious people — writers, makers, small teams — want to try models, compare them, and pick the right one, but the tools are built for engineers, not for thinking.

Idea

AI Model

Creation

We built a single interface that runs a question across multiple models side by side, surfaces the differences plainly, and keeps a running conversation instead of a wall of transcripts. No keys, no billing forms — the models are just there, ready to think with you.
